Average American’s vs Average Rabbit’s Carbon Footprint

How much does living in an ecovillage cut your carbon footprint?

At Dancing Rabbit we now have an answer, and the results are good, though there’s still room for improvement.

Thanks to researchers from the University of North Texas and Arkansas Tech University, Dancing Rabbit can now say that our carbon footprint is less than half that of the average American’s, and in some areas we’ve cut our impact by 84-99%.

Dancing Rabbit has drastically cut the impact of our electricity use, home heating and cooking, and local transport, thanks to our strong ecological covenants requiring renewable energy and car sharing. Our biggest impact areas are long distance travel and food, which are both more difficult to cut.
