Unforeseen Benefits: A Special Visitor Session Sept 3-17

You may recall us raving about how awesome our women’s visitor session was last year. It was such an amazing experience for all involved that we knew immediately we wanted to offer another one in 2017.

There are still spots left for this year, and we want to encourage sustainability-minded women to consider joining this special session, happening Sept. 3-17.

While we know some women are naturally interested in a women’s session, not every woman who wants to visit Dancing Rabbit feels immediately drawn to a women-only experience. So, especially if you’re in the latter category, we want to share Rachel’s story with you.

I signed up for the women’s visitor session in 2016 because it fit nicely with my schedule. In fact I found it necessary to let Danielle (the correspondent at that time) know my intentions via email. “I am NOT choosing this because it is women only, okay?”

The women bonding ended up being a sweet highlight of the three weeks I spent at Dancing Rabbit. We had women of all ages and phases of life. It was as if we were windows into the past and future for one another… of living lifetimes as conscious, open-hearted women.

I had a lot of great one-on-one connections: questions, theories, listening, sharing—about body image, sex, politics, sustainable living, and did I say sex?—with the other women in the session.

As I mentioned before, I’m not a person who is partial to spending time or connecting with women, but there was something nice, nurturing, ancient, about having the common denominator of gender with the group.

My favorite part of being in the women’s session was our love of singing and the harmonies that our feminine voices created together during song circle… or any other time we thought to join in song.

Like Rachel, you might register for the September 3 visitor program just because you happen to identify as a woman and it works for your schedule. Or you might already especially want to experience the magic that happens when a group of women come together to learn about community and sustainable living. Either way, we bet you’ll also be delighted by the unforeseen benefits you’ll experience!
