|Here you see our swimming pond. I don’t know how we’d survive the hot summer days without it. The pond is also home to fish, frogs, dragonflies, and occasionally a great blue heron (we actually have five ponds at DR; the others are primarily for wildlife). On your right you’ll see a patch of wild blackberries that provides us with great summer desserts and jam in the winter. You’ll also notice a number of fruit trees and berry bushes planted along our paths. In five years we’ve planted over 40 trees and we’ve already seen small yields of peaches and pears.|
|Near the pond we have this lovely set of solar showers for rinsing off after a dip or for a shower on a warm summer evening.|
