I grew up in Seattle where I obtained a BA in Theatre. I worked professionally in theatre for several years before making a career change to childcare. Being only 4’10” tall and appearing as though I could be about 10 years younger than I really am, working with children was very fun and enjoyable. I also have over a decade of experience in the holistic field with a broad education and various certifications in holistic healing and teaching. I owned a holistic spa in Seattle for a short time, however, being in the holistic field made me realize that I didn’t feel as though I was living in a holistic way upon the Earth.
I was already looking for a more green and eco friendly life when I saw the Dancing Rabbit episode of 30 Days on a computer in 2010. I was excited to know that there was such a thing as an ecovillage that I could move to and have a more eco friendly, holistic, lifestyle. I did lots of research online about ecovillages and intentional communities around the country and the world but Dancing Rabbit most closely matched what I wanted out of an eco community so I came for a visit in 2010. In 2011 I closed my holistic spa, got a new childcare job on cruise ships to save money, and left my three and a half year relationship after a second DR visit in 2011. I was finally able to make the move to the Ecovillage in March, 2012. My ex partner and my family were very supportive through my move and I am very grateful to them. In early 2014 I left the seasonal day job world in childcare to go back to school online for an MBA. I’m now happy to have a career I can do from home as a Life Improvement Coach. I help people manifest their dreams into their reality using the principles of the Law of Attraction.
As a member, I am discovering lots of fun adventures in my life at DR. I am very happy to be living at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage rather than consumer America, which I refer to as The Concrete Jungle. I keep a blog to write about my life in Rabbit Land: The Ecolyte.
