Thank You Donors!

Our deepest appreciation goes to each of you.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors in 2007, we raised $9,667 in Untargeted Donor Support, exceeding our fundraising goal of $8,500 by $1,167.

Some additional Specified Donation facts:

• Our annual appeal donations totaled $4,092, exceeding our 2007 appeal fundraising goal of $3,500 by $592. Thanks for all your support!

• At our 10 year Dancing Rabbit reunion in October, we raised $2,106 in donations. A special thanks goes out to all who attended and bid during our auction. The donations received from this event almost entirely paid the costs related to the event.

• We received $600 in targeted donations toward a storm shelter. With these funds, we now have enough funding to pay for a storm shelter. This storm shelter is in the process of being built, and is expected to be available for visitor use in 2008.

• We received three computer donations and a laser jet printer in response to our recent call for support. Thank you Aron Heintz, Jay Katz and Rory Woods for your generous donations— they will be put to good use!

• Providing village residents and neighbors with skills that are essential for cooperative and sustainable living. Professional training is provided in consensus education, community process skill-building, and conflict resolution.

• Providing hands-on sustainability education at our ecovillage demonstration site. Funding is provided to the visitor program to cover costs not otherwise covered in visitor fees and to provide scholarships to attend.

• Funding our face-to-face sustainability education and outreach at events that attract thousands of people. We attend regional conferences and events and offer presentations at area colleges and community groups to promote sustainability and ecological education.

• Supporting and encouraging ecological sustainability education through a broad spectrum of digital media, including our website, DRTV, blogs, and documentary film productions.

• Allowing us to produce print media materials including our quarterly newsletter, the March Hare. Our newsletter provides a wealth of information on a variety of ecologically-minded topics.

• Providing for advertising in community and eco-oriented newspapers and magazines, which attract potential members and help our community grow.
