On the third day of my second visit to Dancing Rabbit/Skyhouse, I find myself thinking about the whens and the ifs of "going to land." After hanging with all the rabbits, and their fine neighbors at Sandhill, its easy to imagine making friends of them all, and perhaps becoming one of the first new subcommunities of Dancing Rabbit. Me? I am part of what I jokingly call a "virtual community," named Fiddlers Green.
Lemme explain a bit about Fiddlers Green. We are three urbanites who have caught the community bug and hashed out philosophies and bylaws, but in general we have not yet found the guts to make a full commitment and move ourselves out to a country community location. (Okay, I'm overstating it. We've had some delays). We acquired eight members early on, but as people got cold feet and changed their minds, FG was whittled down to our current core group of three.
At some point, we ran into (virtually speaking...you know, on the web) Dancing Rabbit. We dug their Eco-focus, we Fiddlers have a similar ideal ourselves. On my first visit, I found them to be funny, committed, caring people. More importantly, they didn't seem to mind my weird sense of humor.
