If you've been exposed to any source of media in the past few years, you're aware of things like climate change, peak oil, economic woes whose ends are not clearly visible, and so on. When solutions or attempts to address these problems come forth, they usually seem to ignore the obvious: six billion people aspiring to idyllic lives of joyful consumption is eliciting a heavy groan from the planet whose riches we plunder to sustain those aspirations. Earth won't sustain it forever. Answers lie not in devising ways to keep it going that make slightly smaller impacts; answers must start with the understanding that we in the developed world have to learn to live and be satisfied with a lot less.

Without further ado, we offer you this belated, super-size issue of the March Hare. May the spirit of low-tech inspire you to simplify for the good of all.
