In the summer of 2000, Rachel Katz began writing a correspondence column for our local paper, the Memphis Democrat. The paper runs numerous such columns from small towns around the county, telling tales of dinner at the neighbors and what kinds of pie were served. Rachel decided it was time for DR to hit the big time and tell our neighbors what we do all week - especially when it involves pies.
