Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage
by Rachel Katz

Hi everyone! This is Alline filling in one last time for Rachel.

Lots of holiday bustle, travel and general goings-on here at Dancing Rabbit. There are so many Rabbits traveling that there will be just eight folks home this holiday season. Rumor is that they are looking forward to a mellow, quiet, cozy holiday.

Speaking of holidays, Alyson commissioned our former intern Tanya create a very special gift for her baby nephew Oscar. Tanya is the same artist who drew the design from this year's Rutledge Fall Celebration t-shirt. Anyway, Alyson asked Tanya to draw a famiily tree for Oscar, going back five generations. It is absolutely stunning and it will surely be a family heirloom.

Saturday afternoon Don, Alyson and a crew from Sandhill went to K-ville to see 'The Two Towers'. They were not disapointed and had a lot of fun.

Saturday evening was a Solstice Extravaganza plus an anniversary party for Kathe and Michael at Sandhill. What a shindig! Tamar and Laird cooked up an incredible meal - freshly rolled sushi right here in Scotland County, complete with wasabi (a Japanese horseradish), pickled ginger and avacado. Yum yum. After stuffing ourselves, we went to the pond and launched floating candles off the dock while thinking of what we'd like to accomplish in the new year. It was really pretty.

We are looking for children's car seats! We need seats

for babies, young children and toddlers. If you have a car seat or two that in good condition that you are willing to donate, please give us a call.

Well, as one of the traveling Rabbits, it's time for me to sign off and finish packing. Kurt and I are taking the train out of Quincy, IL tomorrow morning. The train leaves at 6:12 a.m. which means that we have to leave here at 4:30 a.m. Not much time for beauty sleep. zzzzzzz
