Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage
by Rachel Katz

Hi everyone. This is Alline filling in for Rachel while she hits the books.

Building continues at a frenzied pace. Susan and Erik put up sheet rock and blew in insulation, so their home is getting cozier by the minute. Penn and Andra put in their newly-beautified wood stove and chimney. Gare continues to work on plaster in his upstairs grain bin 'apartment'. He, too, put in his stove and chimney, and Cecil helped out with the photo-voltaic (solar power) system. Lights can now be seen glowing in Gare's windows at all hours of the night, accompanied by the friendly rumble of laughter.

Tony, Sedge and Bob continue to work on Skyhouse, and this week got the last bit of exterior plaster done. Speaking of Skyhouse, Alyson is planning to move into this pet-free living space, and so is looking for a good home for her loveable de-clawedold declawed cat Ingmar. Do you have room in your life for a fuzzy ball of love? Give Alyson a call.

Kurt and I took our hot tub for it's maiden voyage. What fun and relaxation! There's nothing like sitting in a tub of steaming water and solving the problems of the universe! Tamar and Rachel stopped by and asked if they could have a turn, too, so they got to soak under the stars on Sunday evening. We still have a little fithermometerdo, and a themometer will help a lot because whoeeee, does that water get hot!

Tom returned from his rock-climbing adventure in California, and was positively glowing. He had a wonderful time, and a new rabbit earring.

With Matt, our enthusiastic visitor, Don planted garlic. I see many delicious meals and beautiful garlic braids in our future.

A few of us went to the auction in Rutledge on Saturday. While we got outbid on many items, we came home with a few treasures. The true highlight of the week however, was the trip to see Mel Gibson's 'Signs' in Memphis. Along with the rest of the audience, we screamed and laughed our way through the movie. It was WAY fun.
