Hello, neighbors and friends. This is Andrew updating
you on the past week's happenings here at Dancing
Rabbit.
This week we had our final "Big Viz" session for the
year, hosting visitors Derek, Jessica, Steve, Skyler,
Pam and Will. They stayed with us for about a week
and we really enjoyed their enthusiasm and help.
Several of us have been hard at work over at Sandhill
Farm lately, helping with their sorghum harvest. I
wish I could have gone, too, but I've been preoccupied
here in the village. Speaking of harvest, fried green
tomatoes have been on the menu this week, as folks
tried to get one last harvest before the frost. And
lots of apples have been enjoyed by all, brought back
by folks who have gone to help with the harvesting in
nearby orchards.
On Monday we had an "Art Night" to get together and
express ourselves through art. Also on Monday, some
folks attended the Rutledge Square Dance. And there
was more dancing on Wednesday when a few Rabbits went
to Kirksville for Swing dancing. On Saturday a group
of Nathan's friends with eclectic international
origins visited us. We hung out in the Common House
for a while playing card games, and then ended up on
the giant trampoline talking and laughing late into
the night. And on Sunday evening there was even more
dancing, with a few folks doing Swing dancing in
Skyhouse, and others going more freestyle in the
Common House. Me and my two left feet just played UNO
in the kitchen. Well, that's all I can think to write
about for this week. Take care!
P.S. - If anyone has a full-sized bed they want to get
rid of, we could use one. Thanks!
