What a week! The heat isn't stopping people here. Skyhouse has been busy bees on their house. Thomas, Bob and Amy are on the scaffolding every day from 8 to 4 applying finish plaster. Jeffrey's dad Andy visited for a week. They did lots of fun things, but they spent nearly every minute of the last few days assembling a very fancy ladder up to Jeffrey's loft. Skyhouse also poured the rest of the undercoat of their earthen floor.

Tom and Dan have been building trusses for Dan's house. They are big! Thomas, Ingrid, Ed, and Amy biked to the Flea Market and volunteered in the cook shack to benefit the Rutledge School. Ironweed has been working on taking down roofing from an old Boy Scout building in Memphis so they can use the wood. And everybody has been harvesting in the gardens. There is squash coming out of our ears!

We had some nice visits; Ed's parents from Kansas City and Jacque's friend who she went college with. There was another photo night, where Laura, Sara and Jacque showed photos and told stories. And I hosted a bird walk, to help people familiarize themselves with the common birds. The big event of the week of Jo's (of Sandhill) birthday party at the roller rink in Kahoka. Everyone brought desserts to share and we had fun skating and socializing.

I didn't catch the name, but a tree trimming business brought us some of their logs and mulch from the work they were doing in Rutledge. Thanks guys!
