Rachel here, reporting on another interesting, though cold, week at Dancing Rabbit. Those warm sunny days has made those frosty nights even more shocking. Folks are still dealing with the pre-frost harvest. I helped make a few pecks of pickled peppers. And tomatoes are lined up on windowsills to ripen.

We had a ton of guests this week, partially because we were able to witness the commitment of the third couple at Dancing Rabbit this year. Tom and Tereza both visited individually during 1997, our first year on the land. They came back a few years later, and 5 years ago started seeing each other. They finally decided to tie the knot and we were all proud to witness and host the event. Alyson officiated the ceremony and Alline coordinated the Italian-themed meal. Everything went beautifully. It was fun to meet both their families, as well as see friends and ex-members return for the event. It rained all day, but we took the party inside and kept the common house steamy warm all evening.

As part of our neighbor series, we hosted the Demarces for dinner on Thursday night. Will has been coming to take fiddle lessons from Tamar for a few years now. While Will was in his lesson, the rest of the family walked around for a little tour and ended up with the kids playing on the swing-chair. Then we had a lovely dinner, followed by skits performed by the kids. I hadn't laughed that hard for awhile.
