Juan here, reporting on another week of happenings at Dancing Rabbit.
I have one word of advice for those of you who are thinking about
planning your wedding - delegate. After the whirlwind that was the
16th, Amy and I found ourselves incapable of even the simplest tasks.
This wasn't helped by the fact that it took us several days to eat
through most of the leftovers.
However, others had less trouble getting a lot done this week. As the
temperature drops, the race to have a warm space before winter is well
underway. Ironweed is engaged in heavy renovations of Tamar's house,
and work is advancing steadily despite the chilly, cloudy weather.
Tony B and Alyssa began filling in the walls of their home-to-be. The
process involved putting straw into liquid clay and drying it into
bricks of a sort. Their house is subsequently moving along at a quick
pace; at the rate they're going, they should have a nice home before
it gets too cold out.
Our September visitor group is here. After the small group we had in
August, I found it a little overwhelming to have more than ten extra
people here, especially since they started arriving two days after the
wedding. Nevertheless, they're a good bunch, and I'm looking forward
to getting to know them better over the next weeks of their visit.
Preparations are also in full swing for our yearly Open House, which
will be held this year on September 30 from 1pm to 4pm. All are
encouraged to stop by, get a tour, and ask all those burning questions
I'm sure you have. See you there.
