Hi. This is Alline filling in for Rachel again.

Wow! What a lot of snow! We've been skiing, sledding and generally playing in the snow. Then it's time for puzzles, games and lots of reading inside where it's warm and cozy. Baloo, our golden retriever, is a bit depressed because he's lost all of his good toys - once they hit the snow, it seems they're gone until it melts. As I've said before, it's enthusiasm, not retrieving, that is his strong point.

Lots of activities before the snow, too. Tuesday a group of us went to Kirksville to see the San Jose Taiko perform at Truman. What an amazing show! Drums and other instruments performed by musicians who are also athletes - they were wailing on those drums! Special kudos to Stephanie who rode her bike in ALMOST all the way (the sheriff gave her a lift for the last few miles). She's training for this summer when she, two of our other former interns and a couple of friends ride their bikes from Portland to Washington D.C. Cecil also rides his bike to Kirksville - both to play bridge and to visit his friend Jacque. So if you see them on the road, remember they're friendly and wave!

We finished our Valentine's Day cards, and passed them out. Everyone loved them! It was almost like being in grade school again.

We're still looking for glass gallon jars. Also, if anyone has any wood scrabble letters, please let us know.
